Downtown Brooklyn, sometimes called DoBro, is home to some of the most dramatic architectural projects in the Borough. In sharp contrast to brownstone areas, DoBro has vertical neighborhoods: sleek skyscrapers with luxury amenities from lap pools to temperature-controlled wine storage rooms. It is an evolving neighborhood with a lot of energy and nightlife, myriad subway lines and, for many, a short walkable commute to the Brooklyn’s biggest businesses, including Borough Hall and the courts. It also adjoins the BAM cultural district, an area bordering DoBro and Fort Greene with a wide assortment of theaters and venues.
